Dena Dietrich (born December 4, 1928) is an American actress.
Born in Pittsburgh, her television credits include recurring roles on The Practice (1970's sitcom), The Ropers, and Philly. She made guest appearances on Life Goes On, NYPD Blue, Murphy Brown, and The Golden Girls. She appeared in such films as The Wild Party and History of the World: Part I. She appeared on Broadway in The Rimers of Eldritch, Here's Where I Belong, and The Prisoner of Second Avenue.
She is well-known, albeit not by name, as the campy Mother Nature in commercials for Chiffon margarine in the 1970s. The rich, creamy taste led her to believe the product really was butter, and when she learned otherwise she ominously replied, "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!"
